Implanon and bulging leg veins. Should I look for another doctor to remove it sooner?

my daughter got implanon in december, and in february she started getting knots in her lower legs. we had them sonogrammed and they are not quite varicose veins , but they do show the blood flowing backwards. they are getting worse and are now showing some bruising on the skin because they are more prominant. her doctor doesn t have another appointment available for another month to remove the device. should i look for another doctor to remove it sooner? and do you think these veins will shrink back down to normal after it is removed?

Hello ,
welcome to healthcaremagic
implanon releases progestin which usually
doesn't have side effects like you have
mentioned , I think you should consult a doctor
as soon as possible .
take care .

Hi, I just had my implanon removed after 2 years, about two weeks ago. I was having pregnancy symptoms while on the implant and took two home pregnancy tests. The first was positive (morning urine) the next one was two days later and was a negative (afternoon urine). I called the Dr and have me another urine test which also came out negative. My fiance and I both agreed to still have it removed and ttc. This was April 18th. I ve been cramping since before the removal. I was due for my period April 20 and never got it. My breasts are tender and I have slight cramping. My stomach is noticeably swollen and I m hungry all the time. Also, yesterday, there was a slight pink color when I wiped yesterday. No blood or anything after, and it happened twice. Should I demand a blood test? Why would I have had a negative positive?

Hello, I am 19 years old and have had my implanon since december 17th 2010, on monday the 22/April/2013 I had my implanon removed and another and more new version of the implanon inserted straight after. My doctor said wait two days until I have unprotected sex with my partner and I did, but since then I ve been experiencing a lot of symptoms for pregnancy. I understand that it is too early and that the implanon will give my body similar and if not the same side affects as a pregnancy at times. However, I have a weird feeling and so I am just wondering that for reassurance measures if I were... How long should I wait before taking a HPT? I don t get my period whilst having the implanon so I can t go off that which is why I am asking... Kind regards, krysta :)

An ultrasound indicated that I have a highly likelihood of popliteal artery entrapment syndrome and have been referred to a vascular surgeon. Will they do any further testing? If a surgery is needed, will I be on crutches? How long does it take for the knee to heal? How many days will they keep me in the hospital?

I am concerned about the front on my right leg, as it is causes pain when I apply any pressure (however slight). It is only on the bottom half of the leg. There is no visible redness or swelling (although my legs and ankles tend to swell in the heat). I have noticed a couple of mosquito bites at my ankle but the pain is further up (more around shin). I have had superficial DVT about 22 years ago and am concerned that this could be a venous problem as it has a path of sensitivity which you can follow with your finger up the leg below the knee. I have had it for about 4 days now.
