Hi. I just got off phone with my son. He is 28 y/o healthy, extremely fit individual. He is a strength & conditioning coach for Tulane University. He tells me he can t stay awake past 8pm. He feels excessively tired. He is well hydrated, its well, and has had a viral syndrome about 3 weeks ago (sore throat, cough, etc) No history of diabetes, thyroid, or hypertension. He takes no meds and has no allergies. He drinks a lot of H2o during the day. (at least 1 liter if not more) Again, he tells me after dinner he can t stay awake. This has been going on since after his viral syndrome. He has not had a lyme titer nor does he think he was exposed to any ticks. He s on the football field or in the weight room. Lastly doctor, he is an extremely fit kid. Probably less than 5% body fat. I ve asked to speak with the team doctor about his symptoms but I thought I would give this a try to see what your differential dx might be or the tests, if any, he should ask the team md about. Thank you for your time
