Hi
Lipoma are rarely malignant.
You need to get examined by a doctor.Normally lipomas dont cause pain, but if there is then i suppose that removal is better.

I am a 43 year old female 5 5 and approx 140 pounds I am set to get a lipoma removed this Thursday but as I read all of these comments it states that it shouldn t be causing any pain, it is located really close to my past hernia surgery from 15 years ago. The general area by he lipoma is ver sensitive and tender to the touch. They validated by CT scan and ultrasound that my hernias repairs are still in tact. What could be causing the discomfort will this removal of the lipoma help?

Hi, I have a Lipoma bump on my back and its been there for many years. I got it scanned a few years ago to make sure I knew what it was and the guy told me it was just a fatty deposit and if it begins to grow or hurt to go see my doctor. A few weeks ago, it started to hurt quite a bit and now there is bruising around it, but the pain has subsided. I m just wondering if it can be removed? Or if its something more serious?

Hi, My husband has multiple lipomas, he just had one removed, but he has them under his armpit`s,and they are hurting him. We have some good Dr.`s but most of them won`t do anything for him. He has fallen,(he has type 2 Diabeties and has it under control ) .When he has fallen,I`ve seen that he stops him self with his arms and knees. I do understand that trauma to the sites I mentioned, can cause these tumers. But how can he have them removed, they are growing... they aren`t small, they have been growing for the last 15yrs. He is 67, and is strong willed, also is there liposuction avaible?

Can liposarcoma develop after mole removal surgery ? I had a mole removed long ago and there has been a nodule growth (stable) at the place the mole was. Now it has grown all of the sudden and is painful. It resembles lipoma from pictures but the fact that it has grown more than 2 cm suddenly gets me wondering.

Hello I am a 70 year female. Had a lipoma removed about 4 weeks. After surgery my throat was really sore. It lasted about 3 days. I then started coughing. Just little coughs with some phlegm. Now for the past few days I am having trouble taking a deep breath. Could this be a result of the breathing tube? Thank you

I have maybe 100 lipoma s and it s very costly to get them removed in the USA. I don t have insurance so I m in quite the pickle on this one! Some of these are very large in my front belly fat maybe three inches or more across. I m wondering if I m doomed in this situation.
