If I Stop Eating Does My Period Will Stop ?

I am 15 years old.I weigh approximatly 6 stone and am 5ft 5; I am only eating one meal a day (which is at 5pm). This month my periods have seemed to stop, eventhough before they stopped they did start to come very late. I was wondering, if they wern t coming because of me not eating. If you think you can help me, please reply. Thank you.

Lack of a menstrual cycle (your period) is often a sign of malnourishment.  At the age of fifteen, if you are not having your period, your bones will not fully develop and will become more brittle.  It is not safe for you to starve yourself; this is anorexia.  If you are trying to lose weight by starving, you need to get help.  Talk to someone, a family member, a teacher, or a counselor.  Starving causes WAY more health problems than just weight loss.

Hi,
You seem to have irregular periods.when did you start menstuating?it takes about one year to set normally after you start gettingthe periods.
In undernurished & anaemic conditions the menses tend to be irregular.
So Lad-it's not your starving for a couple of days ,but a total effect of noneating is the problem. IF you want to be a healthy woman, you have to eat properly now.
don't you have good appetite? please get yourself throughly investigated (hb% Tlc,Dlc,Esr ,mx test ,urine &stools R & M testing)to know the basic cause. & with consultation of expert doctor you will definately recover.

If you fall below a certain body weight (being from the US, 6 stone is confusing; isn't that like 90 pounds?), your body shuts down the menstrual cycle
