I went to my gyno about 6 weeks ago originally for a yearly pap and I was feeling like a uti was coming on. They sent me for a urinalysis and gave me macrobid in the mean time to relieve the pain. They called a few days later saying the results were showing no signs of an infection. I finished the antibiotic just in case. A few weeks later I miss my period and find out I’m pregnant. I decide I don’t want it and had a medical abortion at 5 1/2 weeks pregnant. About a week after the abortion my gyno called me back and said my pap came back abnormal but it was negative for hpv but they’d like to see me in a few months. She also said that it looks like I do have a bacterial infection and prescribed me metronidazole. Took that for a week but still didn’t feel right still had pressure and vaginal pain which is what I originally had when I first went to the gyno. So, I went to ard express has another urinalysis done. They said my leukocytes were slightly elevated and prescribed me macrobid again for 10 days instead of 7 and sent it out for a culture. That came back that everything looked normal. I still have pressure in my vagina and a mild tingling pain. It hurts/sore to have sex. I have no discharge, no smell my urine is clear and doesn’t smell. Oh I also started birth control a week after my abortion so I’m on my third week of it.
