Hi, 6 weeks ago I was playing soccer and I twisted to kick the ball in mid-air. When I landed I had a very sharp pain in my hip joint. Two weeks later the pain moved down my leg into my thigh muscle (quite deep in). Since then it has been extremely painful and I don t know what to do, please help me.

Hearing your problem,it seems to me that it could be hip ligament injury or lumbar disc prolapse. You have to do a X-ray and MRI both for hip joint and lumbar spine. Do not delay.
Take care.

Welcome to HCM.
From your complaints that you have posted,it appears that you may be having intervertebral disc herniation which is putting strain on your nerves, esp.branches of sciatic nerve. You need to go in for X-ray LS spine and,if need be,MRI of your lumbosacral region which will give you the exact picture.Kindly get back to me with the reports so that I can advice you further action.Take care.

Have you consulted any sports medicine person? Have you taken any x-ray ot MRI of hip joint and thigh?

Take a consultation soon to avoid further complications and also to control pain effectively.
