I Was Diagnosed With Trigeminal Neuralgia Last Feb. (2015) After

I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia last Feb. (2015) after a collision with a carrousel horse when my then 18 month old dropped his hat and I lunged down to get it real fast so I could get bac to him. It hit me right in the temple. I suffered a terrible concussion and after 4 specialists and a 5 day stay in the hospital to get my pain under control they came to the conclusion that's what it was. I got a trigeminal block that was extremely successful and it lasted for 5 months. I came off all the 13 Rxs they had me on. (at max. dosages!) it was pretty ridiculous. Most doctors that saw what all I was on didn't know how I was walking. But I wasn't affected, it just stopped my pain. I thought I was going to die when the pain set in. It was horrible. So like I was saying, I came off all meds and the first block lasted 5 months, then I needed a second block. It lasted 3 months. Then I got a horrible headache one day that made me extremely nauseous. And it wouldn't go away. I didn't think it was my trigeminal because it was on both sides of my head until the piercing in my eye started. I called my neurologist right away and scheduled another block. Three hours after my third block my headache was back. Something was wrong. I called my doc. They had always worked. He said maybe it needed more time to kick in. I told him they never did before. I told him he had to give me some pain medicine because I couldn't handle the pain. so he did. and I had to wait a month before the next block. it didn't work either. then I saw my pain management doctor cause he had an idea. he said this was the last chance. he said all my symptoms weren't T.N. since I had pain on both sides and in my ears and the back of my head. And it wasn't referred pain like other doc thought. So he did an occipital block and a gagnglian block. A shot on either side on the back of my head and two sticks up each nostril. I woke up and my whole head was numb. That was nice because I had been in excruciating pain for two months solid and the past week had been vomiting because it had gotten so bad. but the same thing happened. three hours later the pain was back and that's where I am now. I still have the pain. It's horrible and i'm apparently out of options accept now he wants me to see a pain psychologist. which I am. I understand how it can help, but I also know that I can't live like this.
