I was diagnosed with non-ischemic cardiomyopathy and was told it

I was diagnosed with non-ischemic cardiomyopathy and was told it is incurable and that my heart muscle is enlarged and it will stay that way. My only option is to maintain on meds or get a heart trans plant. I was not told what type of NI- C I have. I was wondering if you would know. Doctor said my last echo test showed that I'm 20 to 25% EF, that was about 2 mos. ago.

What is the life expectancy of someone with ischemic cardiomyopathy, ejection fraction of 28%, previous ventricular tachachardia, and silent heart attack 4 years ago. One artery is 100% blocked, doctors have told us no viable option for bypass, stent, or transplant.

Hello, My father (aged 65) has been diagnosed with Ischemic Cardiomyopathy and mitral and aortic regurgitation. His EF is 25-30%. He has been very active throughout his life so far. My question is what life style he should pursue and what can we expect in terms of life expectancy and what signs we should watch for.
