I was diagnosed with a heart murmur. Could it be that my heart murmur could of left ?

Okay, so about .. Umm 2 months ago I was diagnosed with a heart murmur. I m currently 14 years old, I can t play football till I m checked by the Cardiologist which is on the 28th of this month, but no lie, today. I felt diffrent, something I haven t felt for months! I ran and my heart beats weren t going as fast they usually do, and I could catch my breath and I wouldn t get lazy! Also I could sleep without getting bothered by my own heart rate . Could it be that my heart murmur could of left ? It happened with my brother, dad, and grandmother aswell. Note: I m still going to a cardiologist to get evaluated for my physical and to see if my heart murmur isn t bad. Thank you fellow answerers. For now I can do as much as activity as I want according to my doc. But I don t like risking my self or my life so I keep it to a limit. Actually. Yes they do. My dad doesn t have a heart murmur, and my grandma who is 84 had one and it went away. I was with her when the doctor said that it s gone

Murmurs don't usually just disappear. Go get checked out and good luck. Maybe the diagnosis itself made you feel more at ease and not have so much anxiety about the issue. Good luck in football!!

I had gone to the doctor approx. 5 years before, because while i was still in high school, while walking to class both of my calf muscles seized up and i was having a difficult time walking. by the time i had made it to class my left arm and my chest also had sharp stabbing pain. when i went to the doctors she did a blood test and a chest ex-ray and told me i was fine.last year had gone to the doctors after feeling like i was having a difficult time breezing. it would feel like someone was sitting on my chest, and was have a lot of palpitations .. I was diagnosed with a heart murmur, described as one of my valves not closing properly , I was also told that my cholesterol was fine,But I was recently told by a customer of mine that there are degrees of heart murmurs. so my question is it is true and should my doctor have told me that? and i also wanted to know if my earlier episode could have been caused by my murmur and if it could be a sign of something more serious.

Hi, I m a 29 year old female and I ve got a heart murmur, very slight, and have been having a strange spasm/vibrating feeling just under my rib cage on my left side, in line with my heart. Could this be related to my heart, or unrelated? What do you think it could be?

hi. my 2 yr old daughter was diagnosed with a heart murmur last year and was sent to see a pediatric cardiologist. my daughter was really unsettled and cried all the way through the examanation, the doctor said she was okay and that was basically it. Ive recently become worried because when she really hurts herself and cries she goes limp and her eyes start rolling. I dont feel that she was checked properly as she was very unsettled. could you please tell me if that is just something kids do. ive got a 4yr old son and never been through anything like this with him.

I am 39 years old. I am an active mother of three teenagers, and have a highly active job. recently I have not been able to concentrate, breathe heavily when I have to any kind of physical excercise, and fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I am extremely thirsty all the time and have blurred vision. All test for diabete s and tyroid have come back normal. I was recently seen in the emergency room for dehydration...but I drink water all the time. Test results showed I have high calcium levels in my blood. They found that I have a heart murmur which is caused by a hole in my heart. What causes this and can all the other systems be a sign of the murmur? They think I am depressed...though I disagree.

I have a 3 yr old son. When he was about 6-8 mos old his Dr heard a murmur and said it would most likely fix itself, well last wk at his 3 yr physical a different Dr heard it as well. They sent us to a Ped Cardiologist he did an EKG and said it was borderline and the LT side of the heart seemed to be working harder then the RT side so he did an Ecko and said it was normal and it was justa harmless murmur that some kids have but I don t understand y the Ecko was borderline and the LT side is working harder that the RT? Should I get a 2nd opinion?
