I was diagnosed with IBS, but my anxiety causes me too fear

I was diagnosed with IBS, but my anxiety causes me to fear it is more thaan that, is it? Hello, I'm a 17 year old female, and i had been having pains in my lower right abdomen, so i went to the doctors, and he said i had a bladder infection, so he put me on cipro. I took the cipro a few days and it gave me awful stomache cramps, so he told me to stop taking it. Since then, i've been having pains mostly on my right side, but sometimes on the left side too. I went to the doctors for it again, and he said i had irritable bowel syndrome. The only testing i had was him pushing around on my abdomen, and listening to my bowels. He said everything sounded and felt fine, and nothing hurts when i press it, so that it was nothing dangerous. I just feel like its something more than irritable bowel syndrome. Also, i have an anxiety problem, so i fear the worse. I feel like something more is wrong with me and i'm scared. I've been having the pain about a month. Could something more be wrong?

Don't think too much about it.Your mental stress can make things worse than what Irritable bowel syndrome can do for you.

Hi there i been having same prob for about three years. Im 23 yaer old female amd mine started as panic attacks so my gp put it down as stress related . Im a worriers and fear it is something bad . My right side sticks out more than the left and the pain is usually a persistant nagging pain. The do put it down to constipation but u knew there was more to it. So i got her to run a load of blood tests and all was clear. Sometimes it goes for months and then it comes back for months. It starts form under my right rib down to my pelvis and sometimes burns. Im now pregnant and doc has put me on antibiotics for urine infection .I also has a kidney scan to rule out stones. All was clear. Im now waiting to see specialist as docs dont know what it is. Its no pain to touch and the doc says its prob ibs. I know this post is late but let me know how you got on.
