Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Feet After 12 Hours Of Continuous Walking

I walked all day Sunday and monday at XXXX. We were there from ten in morning to ten at night. Tuesday morning my feet were swollen and I had a very itchy rash from angles to calves of legs. It is Wed. night and feet are still swollen even though I have been off of them most of day. Rash is better. It was very hot in Florida so I am thinking a heat rash but don't know why feet are swollen.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is quite common after heavy exertion like in case of prolonged walking. Nothing to worry and it will settle by itself. No definite treatment is required. You can apply warm compression for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
