I take fioricet occasionally for migraines and have taken it

I take fioricet occasionally for migraines and have taken it for many years, lately I am experiencing leg and foot pain when I take it ( both legs and feet) my dr retired and I see his replacement he does not feel this can be a side effect of this medication, can this be a side effect and should I be concerned?

Hello ~ my doctor prescribed butalbital/acetaminophen/caff tabs for migraines. I normally take Rizatriptan. Wants me to start with the Fioricet following the Rizatriptan if doesn t work. I understand the Fioricet is for tension not migraine headaches. I ve read the side effects and don t know whether to take the Fioricet or not. What do you suggest. I have an appointment with a neurologist in 4 months for further prognosis. Thank you.

I have been taking fioricet for migraines for over 20 years (on an as needed basis), averaging about 5-10 pills over a 2-3 month period. I am now told that at age 65 i can no longer take the fioricet because of my age. Why is this, and what alternative medications can I look at?

Hi. Yesterday I went to the ER with a strong reaction to Tramadol. (Inability to unrinate, severe dizziness, vomiting. ) I was given an IV with an anti-nausea and a narcotic. I continued symptoms even when coming home but was able to sleep. I woke up with another migraine and took 3 ibuprofen, iced my neck and slept. I then took an imitrex and more ibuprofen. My migraine is now coming back. I have Fioricet I can take as well as Dyclophenac & Oraphenadrine. Any recommendations?
