Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently went to the doctor to complain about a lump 2/3rds of the way up my right testicle. It is painless and about the size of a grain of rice maybe slightly bigger. The nurse practitioner had me sent for an ultrasound without trying to feel the lump, which bugs me now. The ultrasound came back and I was tolf the lump was not a cyst or anything. It was literally not seen on the ultrasound. I am not confident the ultrasound was performed on the correct area. I don’t know if I’m being paranoid at this point but it bugs me that nothing was seen on the US. Any ideas if I’m worrying about nothing? How accurate is an ultrasound even if it was only scanned on the side opposite of the lump? What could the lump be? Thanks for any feedback its greatly appreciated. I am 19 years old.
