Should I See A Doctor For My Swollen And Painful Ankle?

I recently slipped while at work. I slipped on a wet root, and heard a loud snap/pop in my ankle before I fell. I assumed I sprained it. However there is very little swelling of any, but the pai. Has been getting worse. I now can’t put any weight on it.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Since the pain and swelling are getting worse and you are unable to bear weight on the foot, a fracture is likely. This needs an X-ray of the area or better an MRI scan to find the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
