I Recently Injured My Metatarsal, It Immediately Became Swollen, Please Help

I recently injured my metatarsal during martial arts by hitting someone with the top part of my foot. It immediately became swollen (which went away after 2 days) and bruised for over a week. I have been staying off of it but after two weeks I still feel a bump on the second metatarsal. I'm not sure what that could be. I'm not sure if this could be a hairline fracture, acute fracture, or something else entirely.

Yes, fracture is a likely probability in your case. You shall need to consult an orthopedician and also get an x-ray done if he/she suggests one. That shall suggest you if it is a fracture, dislocation or a soft tissue injury as such.

Hi,
Thanks for query,
You might have fracture of meta tarsal bone.
if fracture is there now after 2 weeks it is difficult to treat as now plaster has little value and if complete fracture is there you may have this problem for long time.
You might have consulted orthopedic at the time of injury.
Consult orthopedic and seek advice.
Ok and bye.
