I Keep Coughing The Whole Night

I'm a 24 year Girl.... I feel choked at night and not able to sleep.. I keep coughing the whole night. One doctor asked me to go for endoscopy as he predicted That I could have thick Mucus problem.. but the test came clean and he said its all in my mind... :( But every time during this period of year when the weather changes to cold, I face the similar problem... Please help me
