It's normal to crave sugar and especially chocolate, but you have to force yourself to eat your meals first and then indulge in some chocolate as dessert. That way your insulin wont spike so high and jeoparize your health or your comfort during the TOM.

My father in law has frequent bouts of severe chocolate cravings then the next day he will be severeley bloated with liquid stools and sulfur / rotten egg burps. These bouts last about a week long each time thengo away. He has also lost about 120 pounds in the last three months. My wife is getting worried and he hasnt got checked out yet.
For the past 2-3 weeks i have been getting dizzy and nearly fainted. I am so tired all the time and have no energy. I have headaches nearly everyday. I have also been craving alot of chocolate. I usually exercise 4-5 times a week but lately i have no energy to do so. I have recently moved house and finally have my own space that i havent had for the past year but apart from that no real changes in my life. I had my period last week so surely can not be pregnant... always use a condom when with my partner.... i went to one doctor whom did nothing. I then went to another doctor and he sent me for blood tests but iron and thyriod is fine... am waiting results of Vitiman D levels. Can you help at all as to what you think is wrong?
I was diagnosed in the spring of 2010. I am overweight. I have lost 30 lbs. II am taking 1500 mg of metformin. 500 in the am and 1000pm. I have managed to adjust my diet. Bit over the last 2 months I have been eating/craving large amounts of choclate once a day in the evening. How how bad is this?
