hello
yellow teeth may be dur to a variety of reasons including stains due to improper oral hygiene or chewing tobacco , flourosis ,erosion of enamel etc
now what i would advice is that you pay a visit to your dentist who will find out the exact reason for the discolouration of your teeth
1.if its stains ,you will need a proper scaling and polishing
2.if its due to fluoride you may have to opt for a dental bleach or if its real bad than you may have to go for crowning procedure
3.if its due to enamel loss than definately the only option left is crowning
best wishes

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

Yellow teeth can be due to staining problem or there could be presence of thin enamel reflecting the dentine.
I would suggest you to visit to a Dentist and get the checkup done, if the stains are extensive than scaling and polishing can be performed.
Or else teeth whitening procedures such as bleaching, placement on ceramic crowns, veneers can be performed.

Hope this helps out,

Regards...

Hi,

Yellow teeth are invariably caused by stain-causing habits like taking tea, coffee, chocolates, carbonated drinks, wine, etc. Smoking cigarettes and chewing tobacco products leads to staining and discoloration of teeth.

Follow a good oral care routine by brushing and flossing your teeth daily. Plus, rinse your mouth after every taking a meal or even a beverage. Adopt proper brushing and flossing techniques. Check out with your dentist explaining how to brush and floss your teeth properly.

Regards.

hello
thanks for sharing your concern in hcm
enamel(outermost part or layer of tooth) thinning can be one of the cause for yellow teeth.
do not worry , get scaling polishing done.
you can ask for various whitening (bleaching)techniques to your dentist.
laminates, veneers are also in option. visit a dentist for proper treatment suitable for you
brush twice daily
maintain good oral hygiene
do not use chlorhexidine mouthwash , as it can stain teeth in some amount.
for any query , write us back
regards

hi...
thanks for the query...
well... the reason for it has to be ruled out...
sometimes it is due to presence of deposits (plaque, stains and calculus) over teeth.. in that case, it will require proper scaling and polishing... and maintenance of good oral hygiene by brushing twice daily after meals... avoid excessive intake of tea, coffee and smoking also...
sometimes its normal natural color of teeth... still, if you want to whiten them, you can go for bleaching... visit your dentist... he will construct a suitable tray for you after proper impressions... and will give you solution to be applied on your teeth via that tray...
hope it will help you...
take care...

Hi,
Welcome to HCM forum,
Scaling and polishing will remove the extrinsic yellow stains .
Tooth brushing will not help in removing intrinsic stains so you can go for bleaching.
Today, with proper patient selection, bleaching is a safe, easy, and inexpensive modality that is used to treat many types of tooth discoloration.
Or can go for Partial (eg, laminate veneers) tooth coverage restorations which are used to treat generalized intrinsic tooth discoloration in which bleaching is not indicated or in which the aesthetic results of bleaching fail to meet the patient's expectations.
Brush twice daily.
Take care

Hi,
yellow teeth can be corrected by various means. First get a scaling and polishing of your teeth done by a dentist. If it does not improve, you can get bleaching of your teeth done or get ceramic veneers placed on your teeth.

Dentist, Endodontics Dr. Manisha Rao's  Response
Hi, yellow appearance of the teeth may be due to presence of thin enamel, exposing the inner layer of the tooth that is dark in colour. There are various cosmetic procedures like bleaching or teeth whitening, placing of ceramic veneers or crowns on the discoloured teeth. Please consult a dental surgeon and he may carry out the procedure depending on your condition.

Just because you have yellow teeth that doesn't mean you have problems. But if you have bleeding, swollen gums or bad breath then you should worry.Yellow teeth can also be totally healthy. If the enamel is very thin or very translucent, then the inner layer dentin, which is yellow is more visible hence the yellow color.Evaluate it by a dentist.take care

hi welcome to HCM.There are quite a few things you can do to clean stained teeth but the best thing you can do is to prevent staining. You should be brushing two to three times daily or after you eat within a hour. Regular dentist appointments are an important part of preventing stained teeth. The most popular way of cleaning stained teeth is with a whitening toothpaste,Bleaching you obtain from your dentist can help those with moderate staining of teeth.A new treatment is something called light technology. This method uses hydrogen peroxide and a led light source. The treatment tends to be more expensive that the others but many who use it say the results are worth the cost.
