that weird heart feeling is more than likely a heart murmur, which is quit common actually, it could lead to heart problems in the future, or you could live with it for 90yrs and never have a problem, being tired at your age is common, you are growing a lot, some doctors recommend 10+ hrs of sleep at your age. Your not being hungry also has nothing to do with your heart, as long as you are not losing weight or muscle, don't worry about it, if you do start losing though, see your family doctor :)

Since last night I ve been having these weird palpitations in my heart. There is a history of heart disease in my family, and many people close to me have suffered from heart attacks. I m only 21 so I don t think I m going to suddenly drop dead or anything like that.. But I don t know what this is. I was so worried last night that I went to the hospital but they didn t take me seriously in anyway, probably because of my age. I m not a hypocondriact or anything like that either!! I rarely if ever go to the DR, let alone the hospital, its just when it comes to my heart its something i take very serioulsy becoz of the family history. The nurse at the hospital told me its Probably normal But I don t see ANYTHING normal with your heart pulpitating every couple of minutes, and espcially if it lasts this long. Does anyone know what this is? And what should I do about it, no one seems to be taking this seriously enough to even check if there is a problem! Thanks in advance. :) Just to sum up exactly what it feels like... I can actually feel my heart beating, it feels heavy and it feels like its skipping a beat then its giving a big thump, and beating irregular, but this only lasts for a few seconds at a time. Thankyou to everyone for answering my question!!! :) I will definetly stop worrying as much and I ll go see my GP, hopefully he can spend some decent time with me, and if he thinks there is anything wrong then maybe I can be put on a monitor or something, my dad has had to do that many times. Thanks for all your advice I really appriciate it. :) I usually get these weird palpitations every few months, once or twice.. I always thought that was normal. But Never this much and all at once! Thats why I was worried! But thankyou all for taking me seriously. :) I will be making an appointment with my DR very soon!

My heart flutters a lot and 4 times already I have actually felt it quiver, it felt like a very very fast spasm that is not actually a beat but a fast shaking. When I have felt the quiver, my face feels like it is hot and red, and I lose a breath and I can t breathe in deep until my heart jumps back into rythm. This heart problem started when I was pregnant with my first child. About the sixth month or so. It started as beating really fast for no particular reason, and I would get so out of breath. It was very similar to having tachycardia . After I delivered, over the next 5 years or so I have felt changes in the condition. After the fast beating and breathing, I started to feel like 1 off beat that I could actually feel. I felt it coming on and I would get behind on a breath, my chest would feel like it flooded with a warm liquid and then the off beat. After some time it progressed to 2 off beats then 3. And now I feel flutters like a fish out of water. Occasionally I have felt the quivers and they are very scary. I have only experienced the quivers like 3 or 4 times as I stated earlier. I do notice that I have the flutters when I drink more caffiene than usual and have more stress. Sometimes I can actually think of them and they happen. My OBGYN told me when I delivered the baby that they would disappear but that was not the case, It is actually gotten worse as you can read from my post. Please tell me what is wrong with my heart.

I have a 3 yr old son. When he was about 6-8 mos old his Dr heard a murmur and said it would most likely fix itself, well last wk at his 3 yr physical a different Dr heard it as well. They sent us to a Ped Cardiologist he did an EKG and said it was borderline and the LT side of the heart seemed to be working harder then the RT side so he did an Ecko and said it was normal and it was justa harmless murmur that some kids have but I don t understand y the Ecko was borderline and the LT side is working harder that the RT? Should I get a 2nd opinion?

I am 49 and have a heart murmur that has not impeded any activity in the past. Yesterday after a weekend of working on my house in the hot sun with no breaks for food and water, I woke up with a pain in my heart when I rolled over on my back. It subsided when I sat up, but I was pretty exhausted and slept all day. I felt fine by the evening. This morning when I woke up I felt a slight pain (not as bad as yesterday) again relieved when I sit up. I have a heart vitamin with coenzyme Q10, resveratol in it. I took one yesterday plus one aspirin. I have stayed home again for rest. I have no insurance right now. Recommendations?
