Could be one of many things. First of all you need to go to the doctor asap. That could be the difference from life or death. It could be your heart, a stroke, lungs, torn muscle or ligaments, even stomach problems can send signals to your chest area as if it were chest pains. It could be nothing to worry about or it could be life threatening. Go see a doctor as soon as passable even if it's the emergency room. Good luck.

I have experienced daily pain in my left chest wall cavity when I breathe or cough. SEVERE when I sneeze. I have had an Xray, MRI, yet no one can tell me what it is. They consistently say they don t see anything. I don t know what other tests to try, or ask for, as I felt I have done a lot to seek answers. No cracked ribs, no steroids worked......???? At this point, I can no longer bend over at the waist, turn to the left, run, walk fast, or live my daily life in comfort.

i have been told i have Costochondritis, and now i have been having pain and numbness in both my legs, especially while crossed, and cellulitis as well. I am currently in treatment for breast cancer (Aredia every 8 weeks and I also take tamoxifen). My CEA levels have been going up and down all year long. Last PET scan in January showed no evidence of progression of the cancer. Six weeks ago I was diagnosed with costochondritis. Since it has only subsided a little bit and my CEA level is elevated once again, is it possible that the costochondritis could cause the CEA to go up? I am scheduled for a PET scan later in the month. Also, my other lab tests have remained with normal limits during all this time (Alk phos, ALT, calcium, blood counts, Beta microglobulin, creatinine).
