I have rice like granules on my throat
hi, my throat have something that looks like craters in it, and in the middle were white spots i tried to removed it and found a rice like granules and has a bad smell, is this normal?

it may be due to cough in throat.bad smell coming from your mouth may be due to chronic cough deposition in that area .you can take kafkuthar ras tab 2 tab 3time for 1wk.

You guys are both wrong - they are tonsilloliths. (a.k.a tonsil stones) The smell is a dead giveaway.

Hi,
This condition is called granular pharyngitis, this is due to inflammation of the posterior pharyngeal wall and the white granules are the accumulated pus like thing. You need to drink plenty of warm water, do gargles with betadine mouth gargles (1:1 dilution) 3-4 times/day. If the symptoms does not improve please contact your ENT specialist.
