I have just fallen and and severely hurt my ribs

I have just fallen and and severely hurt my ribs possibly cracking one. I am a heart patient and take Pradaxa along with Toprol, digoxin and a couple of water pills. I also recently was prescribed 6mg of quitapine to help me sleep. What can I safely take for pain? I have hydrocone in my medicine cabinet from a fall a year ago, but i am aware of its problems for people and therefore would only want to take a light dose. What would you suggest?

Last saturday I was at work, didn t feel well. Checked my blood sugar level,363. Shortly after I started vomiting intensely, several times. Called my Dr.and got it under control. All week it feels like my leftside ribs are bruised and really hurt. I ve been taking ibuprofen, which helps, but wears off and then I m in alot of pain again.

I have been having pain in my ribs at breast level. Have had for off and on for about 19 days. Last few days, it is getting worse. Only significant at night time. 1000 mg of Ibuprofen is not touching it. Last night I took hydrocodone/acetaminophen (left over from dental work in past). Was hurting on sternum end.Tonight it woke me up from sleep and is severe in right side at spinal attachment. Worse than last night. There is no overt reason for this, no injuries. No over exercising. Also I seem to be having more abdominal gas than usual. I am a 69 yr old female, no heart issues at all. Have history of irritable bowel. Not a smoker or drinker or drug taker. At this stage, I have to go see my doctor tomorrow, but this popped up. So I am wondering what you think could be causing it. Thanks.
