I Have Irregular Period Cycle. I Am 43

I am 43. My period cycle until April 2010 was regular. However, since my period in april, the cycle has been irregular. April 20 for four days May 15 for three days May 28 for 5 days June 15 ... This has been the recent cycle. Is there something to be worried about and whether I need to check with a gynaecologist?

Irregular periods can be due to hormonal imbalance;thyroid problems ;mental stress and PCOD (cyst in ovaries).Here in your case since your age is 43 yrs you need to consider another possibility also and that is pre-menopausal.Please consult a Gynaecologist and get examined to find the reason and get treated ;also at the same time to rule out menopausal complaints please find out at what age your mother had menopause and discuss with your Gynaec.

Hello.welcome.Get an ultrasound abdomen done.May be some intrauterine problem or you may be gradually heading towards menopause. A gynecologist consultation is adviced.Good day.
