I Have Had Swollen Vein, Kindly Help Me

Hi, I was just going about doing some chores and I felt a pain in my left wrist. I looked down at it and saw that there was a swollen vein. The swelling is not as localised now and the area looks bruised with a blueness on the perimeter. It s sore to touch. What could this be?

Welcome to Healthcare Magic
You may have done vigorous movement of the wrist which can be causing the pain. Consult Orthopaedician to rule out Carpal tunnel syndrome and Rheumatoid arthritis which can also present with pain at the wrist. Is there any localised swelling near the wrist. You can take over the counter pain killers for pain relief for now. Drink plenty of water. Avoid working with that hand till you are diagnosed and treated.

hi,thanks for query. What you might be having is possibly infection in vein. This could be because of some trivial trauma or too much of exertion which leads to irritation and some local contact allergy can contribute to it.Give rest to the part, take analgesic for pain and see your doctor. At times you may need a course of antibiotics also.
wishing you good health.

Hi,
Pain & swelling in the wrist is either due to any trauma to vein or due to infecntion.
You can take any any analgesic , can apply local ointment 'THROMBOPHOB' ON that site.
Go for x-ray of wrist for making proper diagnosis.

Hello, welcome to HCM. You could have injured a vein leading to localised bleeding and inflammation. You should consult a orthopedic doctor. You should apply ointment thrombophob on it. Wish you good health.

This is blood clot in your vein. This might be caused by cutting your hand or tightness. The blueness is the symptom for blood clotting.Consult a doctor for your medicines.
