I have had chest tightness over the weekend with an odor on my breath which in the past has been the inset of bronchitis. I have severe asthma. I went to Dr on Monday and they gave me a zpack and pretnazone. I have since had severe neck pain and sharp pains on the left side of my chest (where the heart is) that comes and goes as well as coughing. I went to the er today and they the tropinin levels and EKG were normal, but I also have been taking a biotin supplement which I didn't know could change the results. They did x-ray and said I have pnuemonia in my right lung. I don't understand how having pnuemonia on the right side is causing the pain on the left. The same thing happened back in June. Not sure what to do but I feel like it's my heart. I don't know what to ask for at this point from the doctors.

I have been suffering with a tight chest that feels as if I have a heavy weight on it. This started last year with me waking up occassionally with a shortage of breath and an indegestion type pain. The tightness has become more regular up until a few weeks ago when I did some physical work in the garden. I suffered heavier than normal pain which eased after a rest, pain killers and a hot bath. The tightness is now with me nearly all of the time and I now get a twinge across my chest a few times a day with pain or numbness in my left palm. Over the past month my lower eyelids have begun twitching, starting with the right and now affecting both eyes and is very irritating. I probably don t hacve the best diet in the world and do have quite a stressful job and 2 small children. Is this something that I should worry about or do you think that it will clear up in its own time?

Hi, I am a 47 year old female. I had and Echocardiogram, nuclear stress test (was abnormal) and a Angiogram done over the weekend. My symptoms upon entering he E.R. were chest pressure, palpitations, left arm pain leading into my left jaw. My Echo was normal and the Angiogram show a spasm in the one or more veins in the back of the heart. The spasm happened during the procedure. I was told to take blood pressure medication, however, my blood pressure in the hospital was consistently, 114 over 58. I am following up with the cardiologist who performed the procedure, but not for 3 weeks. My question: what causes the spasm and can this cause heart damage. I have a family history of heart disease in my family. Thanks, KB
