I have had a ruptured bakers cyst 4 weeks ago

I have had a ruptured bakers cyst 4 weeks ago and still having pain round my knee behind my knee and down my calf. I was told i may have got it because had gaping between by bones in knee. I had X-ray and was told yes I had and thinning of bones so what to see someone at hospital. Is my pain still the bakers cyst or will it be the knee?Welcome to 'Ask a Doctor'. I have a Baker’s Cyst that ruptured and caused fluid & blood to collect under my knee. I was seen by a doctor three weeks ago and was told to do the leg elevation, compression, icing & resting, as I was told to do, to reduce the swelling & allow the body to “reabsorb “ all the blood & fluid. So, the swelling has gone down a lot, but there is still a small hard lump, which I’m hoping will be “reabsorbed” as well. All that to ask whether these cysts usually come back after they have ruptured or will it possibly just go away & never come back? I do have a torn meniscus & some arthritis in the same knee. Sorry so long!
