I have had a pretty bad cough which is not stop & when I am sitting down my heart will race as well any ideas of what could be wrong ?
I have had a pretty bad cough for about 2 months now, first i was coughing up greenish mucus. After about 2 weeks i seemed to be getting better but all of a sudden i will get into coughing attacks and i cant stop. i notice sometimes when I am sitting down my heart will race as well any ideas of what could be wrong ?

You havent mentioned your age, sex, medical conditions , and presence of fever or any other symptoms.
Green colored phlegm indicated presense of bacterial infection. So see a doctor and take the required medicines and also undergo investigations like a chest x-ray and a blood count, to rule out other possibilities.
A chronic cough like yours can cause pain & palpatation. Even a cardiac illness like pericarditis. So please see a doctor personally.
Meanwhile,
1. Drink warm water 3-4 glasses/day.
2. Avoid Cold drinks/alcohol.
3. Avoid over exertion.

Please mention details.
You need to do some investigations like chest X ray-PA, CBC, ESR, Sputum for AFB. Better consult some physician at the earliest.
