I have had a change in bowel habits for about

I have had a change in bowel habits for about 6 months. I used to have 1 bowel movement/day or every other day. Now, every morning I have a movement that is loose (sometimes disintegrates when flushed), and will go again later in the morning, sometimes very loose, but not diarrhea, no pain, no cramps. I am 64 Female. I retired in March, eat well, love fruits, veggies, salads but I don't feel my diet has changed much except maybe less bread than when I was working.

Hi I am a 71 year old male and have recently experienced a change of bowl habits. I used to have a bowel movement every day, and in the last few months its changed to once every other day. I am vegetarian and eat a lot of fiber and roughage and nothing in my diet has changed. Does your metabolism slow down as you age? Other than frequency, the stool itself seems normal.
