I have bump on the areola.

Hello, I m a 21 year-old female. A couple of days ago, I noticed a small bump in my areola , next to my right nipple. It is small, smaller than the nipple itself. It s reddish, thick, peeling a bit and itchy. It doesn t hurt, nor leak any fluid. My nipple looks fine, just a little dry (but the other looks the same). I never had any breast problem and I go regularly to the gynecologist (last time was around half an year ago), but never made any actual exams, like a mammography . An aunt of mine had breast cancer at her forties (she survived 5 years, but ultimately died with stomach cancer ). I worry a not... Do I have a reason to worry? Should I contact my doctor soon? Thanks for the help!

hello,
its seems to be infective cyst. 90 percent of breast masses are benign.
is it painful?
if its infective then you may need antibiotics.
but you should consult a doctor and get evaluated.
take care

My daughter is 9 yrs old is developing her breasts early. Friday she noticed a bump on her areola and said that the area around her breast was itchy and then the bump started to burn . After her shower last night, she dried her body and the skin fell off the bump (like a scab I suppose). It now looks deep red like an open soar and it burns she says. What could this be?

About a week ago I started to form a red tender bump next to my nipple on the areola. I have gotten these before and didn t worry at first. As time went by it never seemed to decrease in size, and is now showing a purple/black spot in the middle of it. If I run my fingers over it, it gives me a burning sensation. I m 22 years old and very worried it could be serious. Any feedback would be appreciated, I plan to go to my local clinic tomorrow, but would like a different opinion here. Thanks!

Hi! I am male 28 years old. This what I will explain happened about 2-3 times last year. Everything starts suddenly with single montgomery gland pain (area around the nipple) . and in few days pain gets stronger, and areola thicker. There is small redness on the skin near areola , about 5mm (not every time), It usually last about 5-10 days and dissapears without any lumps (everything looks normal). Now, before 10 days it stared on the right side, and was passed away, and two days ago it started on the left side, identical symptoms. Aureola is kind of inflamated (but just little darker colour) very painful to toutch and visible swelled a little . Area beneath the nipple is not painful just areola, actually about 50 % of areola, not whole in size. Body temperature is 37 C. What my be cause of this ? I did not have any other health issues related so far..

I had an ingrown hair bump on my areola. After removing the hair, the swelling went down. The area became so irritated, a scab developed. After a day or 2 the outer layer of the scab fell off from showering. I now have a pink/white circle in the spot where the hair bump was. How can I fix this? Will my pigmentation go back to normal? I have dark brown nipples.
