I have both upper & lower dentures, The upper dentures slide all over and I gag constantly. I'm told that I don't have enough of an arch on the roof of my mouth to get enough suction to hold them in place. I've tried every "glue" on the market and none seem to help for more than 30 min at most. There are an abundance of foods that I can't eat. Nothing hard, sharp, crunchy: celery, carotts, lettuce, corn, toast, crackers, bacon, sandwiches, the list goes on. My dentist said that implants are my best (and pretty much only) option. I'm all for it, however, to make matters worse...I don't have enough of a jaw bone and it would be necessary to transplant bone from my hip. So far insurance has denied paying for it. But more than that is this surgery safe and wise? I'm now 63 and haven't been able to eat for 4 years and it's humiliating to eat in public. I'm at a loss of what to do... I'm just about at my wits end. Judy Couch I'm sorry to waist your time, I thought this was a one time free offer. I can't afford to pay you, as you should be. thanks anyway.
