Yes, I am a 47 year old woman who is concerned lately about my overall health. I have been seeing a urologist for the past 4 years regarding gross hematuria or blood in my urine. He has run all sorts of tests to rule things out and cannot determine where the blood is coming from. Upon a recent ultrasound of my kidneys, they found that I also have hemangiomas on my liver. The blood in my urine was originally found by my primary care doctor during a physical. I had been feeling overly tired and still do. I am also hypothyroid. During an MRI of my neck for an unrelated injury, they found I had tumor on my left thyroid gland. It was removed and I was placed on Levoxyl. About a 8 months later and having neck surgery for 3 ruptured discs I began having swallowing problems, a larger tumor was found on my right thyroid. A gastroenterologist removed the gland and said everything was contained and other than trying to regulate my thyroid medicine I am doing well. I then developed a rash on my face. I have been tested 3 times for lupus each time the results are negative thank goodness. My primary care doctor is in the process of checking my thyroid levels again to see if my medicine needs adjusting which seems to happen quite frequently. I am a very active and busy lady and attribute my aches and pains to getting older however lately, I am totally exhausted even after sleeping 7- 8 hours. I have been having chest pains that come and go...it almost feels like a charlie horse in the middle of my chest. My hair is falling out, my bones hurt if that is possible, I am cold all the time, I ve been getting night sweats, my color is pale. I am waiting to be seen this next week by my doctor. I was just curious if a lupus test can show up negative and a patient actually has it or signs of it. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi! I seem to cough every time I laugh. Been happening for almost 10 years. I went for a swim about 40m and I was wheezing, had shortness of breath, headache and felt faint. I also get a cough attack now and then which lasts for about 30mins and is mucusy. I have never smoked. Could I have asthma?

Every time I take a bath, I experience shortness of breath. It is painful and cough inducing to breathe deeply. I had asthma as a child and several case of pneumonia. Do you think this is caused by the moisture in the air somehow inhibiting O2/CO2 transfer in my alveoli?

My friend has told me ( he is 82) that when he lies down on his right side his chest hurts. I noticed his shortness of breath two nights ago when we had to walk about 200 yards to a ball park. He is complaining of indigestion- 2 days now. He has had a stent for 10 years, otherwise is in good health. Last night he did not sleep well. He does not feel it is a heart problem as he saw his cardiologist 3 months ago and was dealing with just some high BP-= 130/90

Hi there. I am a 35 year old female 5'7 155 lbs with a 7 month old baby delivered by cesarean. I have had shortness of breath that worsens with physical exertion since the last month of my pregnancy but am otherwise in good health. The last 2 months it has been getting progressively worse to the point where I have to catch my breath sometimes in conversation. I am taking domperidone to increase my breastmilk production and have been for 2 months. I have been to the ER where I have had an ECG, ct scan, x-ray and bloodwork, as well as a pulmonary function test. All results were within normal ranges except my oxygen levels in my blood were low - however the test was taken peripherally, not through a central line. Also, my resting heart rate was 118, and when I did a stress test, within 2 minutes my heart rate was at 200. They are sending me for an echocardiogram next. Do you think this could be adult onset asthma or a reaction to domperidone or is it my heart?

My pulmonologist said tests he did indicated need for echo stress test to rule out ischemic heart disease and referred me to a cardiology practice who scheduled the test. They even got approval from ins. co. I'm having symptoms and anxious (but...
