I have been treated for cellulitis, 8 days in the hospital, 8 days in a nursing home, and 7 days at home. My right calf and ankle are still hard and swollen. I have been wearing a compression sock that covers my whole leg, but it doesn't seem to reduce the hardness and swelling. I have been to a massage therapist who has tried to loosen up the hardness and swelling. I was wondering if there was anything else I could possibly do to get my leg to heal faster and better?

My son has developed cellulitis in the past several times and always the doctor prescribes both flucloxacillin and amoxicillin which always works in a couple of days. I recently changed doctors and he has cellulitis at the moment but the doctor he is with now has only given him flucloxacillin

I was hospitalized in June of last year for 3 days with an infection in my side. Turned out to be cellitus(sp). I have had several more occurances since then on my underarms and sides. I have 2 again on each armpit and the left side has swelled and hardened, is red and very tender. Should I go to the hospital to have it drained?
