I have been on pain meds for 30 years. I am 61. My Doctor and I want to fix my back, but after 30 years I
dont know of any new technology to replace discs. Fusing them is not the way to go. Would a Fentanyl patch
work ? Is there any new less invasive surgery ? My goal is stop the pain then stop the pills.
Can you suggest anything ? Phil.

I have no money but if you answer questions free then here goes a whopper for you: I am diagnosed with rapid cycling bipolar disorder treated with a cocktail of meds, the most important one being lithium, diagnosis 14 years. Secondary diagnosis personality disorder med treatment combined with bipolar cocktail. The problem: my lithium bounced up and down within 30 days and changed levels after every adjustment. I had been feeling high anxiety for about 2 or 3 days prior to the sudden chest pain and vreathing difficulties. Brought to the hospital my lithium level was low and they discovered my hypothyroidism and started treatment on my thyroid right away. Q: IS IT SAFE FOR ME TO STILL SMOKE A PACK A DAY AND HAVE MAYBE 3 OR4 BEERS ON NIGHT OF THE WEEK ON A WEEKEND?

my back I am a 24 year old male, I weigh worlds. 195 lbs. I have major back pain, so much it will make me cry. not very common for an army ranger. my doctor put me on vicodin to kill the pain, however, while in a different part of the states, another doctor put me on 30mg oxycodone. the vicodin is no longer killing the pain. they say I have no fractures Or breaks, but my spine is a little out of alignment....is this unreasonable to ask my physician to change the normal meds. to 30 mg oxycodone?

I have had Back pain for 30+ years. I have had tests, 3 back braces, a shoe lift, PT several times. The more I try to do the worse I am. I had a nerve block done (Hoping it might help. The first one was extreamly painful. 2 weeks I went back and he did something to my right let. It felt like I was been hit by lightening!! They said it was ok ant it would go away after a week ago. And treated me with meds. But continually badger me about doing another. My right leg feels like someone is taking a HOT poker and jamming it up and down my right leg. This is still going on 3 years later!!! My back,,, 3back braces, shoe lift, PT once recently, acupuncture and I m STILL in pain. I m soooo over being in pain I could cry!
