I have been having an extremely high heart rate. I have had fluid on the heart before and was hospitalized for it.

I am 21 years old and lately have been having an extremely high heart rate . The other night I almost woke my husband out of bed to take me to the e.r. because my heart was racing so bad I was getting weak feeling faint. Well today we were walking around walmart and decided to check it. When i first tested it everything else came up, but not the pulse. Apparently it was off the chart when I rested about 5 minutes it came up 157 and that was almost at complete rest. I have had fluid on the heart before and was hospitalized for it.Now here is my question. I do not have insurance nor can I really afford it right now. Do you think that it is worth going to the hospital and racking up the bill. and what do you think it could be? Thanks so much in advance

Hey, for a guy, is it too low if his heart beat is 48 bpm? He s been constantly dizzy and couldn t see for a couple of minutes (like complete blackness). He thinks the dizziness has to do with his migraines. He s constantly shaking. I m scared if there s something wrong...48bpm is too slow right? (he not athletic..well, not really...not recently anyway) And what are things (beside medications) that can help bring your heartbeat up? Like, are there types of food that could help..maybe? any advice is welcomed =) thanks... Additional Info: his blood pressure is QUITE high...i m not sure what it is, but it really really high (or so he says) sorry i didn t mention this before...^^

Hello, I have a two year old daughter who was born with Spinal Bifida and for the last past year she has been in and out of the hospital every other month with bad UTI s, high fevers up to 105.6 and her heart rate ends up going up to 220. about a month ago we were told that she has spinal tethering and fluid on the bottom of her brain pushing on her spinal cord and that she needed to have surgery soon. first they said within a couple weeks now they say they want to wait till the end of next month. well now she is in the hospital again with another UTI and High fever of 103-105 and her heart rate went way up to 220 and had hard time getting fever and heart rate down. We also had to start last month doing a cathider on her every four hours because her reflex doesn t work right and her urine flushes back into her kidneys. My big concern is can them waiting to do the surgery hurt her more or could her keep having these high heart rates and high fevers damage her brain and heart more? should I be worried and go get a second opinion?

I am a 43 year old male. My entire life I have felt hot and I have always sweated profusely. The least little amount of activity can trigger sweating. Even when I go skiing and it's 20-degrees, I can only wear a single layer of clothing (short sleeve shirt). I tend to get dehydrated very quickly, so I have to drink water also continuously. In social settings, I tend to avoid activity in an effort to avoid getting hot and sweaty. Do I have Hyperthyroidism or some other condition? This constant condition can't be normal and it certainly prohibits me from living life to the fullest.

I'm 30 yo female. 59kg, 5'4". Had hyperthyroidism around 2 years ago, treated successfully. I had a blood test at the beginning of May, which indicated borderline low neutrophils and platelets. Got a repeat blood test a couple of weeks later, same result. I just had another repeat blood test (now Aug) and have had a call to go in and doc will discuss results. Is this gonna be something really bad? I'm really worried.
