I Have An Irregular And Heavy Menstrual Cycle.

hello my name is LOVELY ROY and i am 22 yrs old. i have some problem regarding irregular menstrual cycle . When i was in my collg life my periods were not regular like there was a gap of 2-3 months btw two flows but now its continous for more than 1 month i am going thru this flow. what shall i do plz suggest

Hello,
You should get some blood test done like blood sugar,thyroid profile and prolactin.Irregular menses can be caused by all of these conditions.But along with that you should also get an ultrasound pelvis to rule out any pathology.You could have endometrial hyperplasia causing you to bleed longer.The endometrial thickness should be measured.I suggest and that get some tests done and then see a doctor about drugs to control the bleeding.Hormones should help there.

I would also like to mention that whole day its controlled but at night the flow is very heavy and clots are also found in large amount.

You should definitely get that ultrasound done.Also you will need drugs to control the bleeding.Start iron supplements if you are bleeding so much.

i have consulted a gyanecologist and she asked me to take regestrone tablet thrice for two days and twice for next 18 days.

Thats correct.Regestrone is a hormone that will help in controlling the bleeding.

i am very scared regarding this . The story is dat earlier my periods used to come every two or three months after and dat continued for 3 yrs then i changed my place and i consulted ayurvedic doctor den my periods continued for 15-20 days a month and very slight bleeding nw what happened is in the beginning flow was very slight and continued for 1 month and suddenly last from 5 days it started very heavily like 3-4 pads a day and also during day the flow is okay okay and at night it is very heavy and when i get up in the morning big size clot is discharged. it is continuous from 5 days. is it normal plz suggest m very scared. earlier i was very thin but now i gained my wait. i want to reshape myself is it possible?

Get an ultrasound and some blood tests done.Blood sugar,prolactin,thyroid profile.Take the regestrone as prescribed by your doctor.Bleeding should reduce in next few days.
