I have a very painful lump in my breast that isn't "hot" or anything, but it really hurts.. I had a hysterectomy over 12 years ago and this isn't the kind of pain I use to have with my periods..I'm scheduled for a diagnostic mammogram and an ultrasound -- but could it be cancer? I've read that lumps that aren't painful most likely are but then i have read that painful lumps can be too?? I haven't had any diet changes or anything ---I'm just nervous
