I have a terrible cough . I get absolutely no sleep . I’m coughing up white stuff. Worse at night. Nurse said it’s not an infection because my lungs and bronical tubes sound normal and my mucus isn’t green. It been four days and nights. I’ve taken musinex and cough syrup and nothing is working. Any suggestions ??

Hi, My 2.9 year old repeatedly is getting this terrible cough and cold... 2 weeks before the doctor had prescribed him Opox-cv, Alex P 5ml, twice daily*3 days... He was just recovering when one week later he again had this terrible cough, weezing and he has this bouts of cough while he is sleeping and he used to puke... The doc suggested me synclar syp twice daily for 4 days (5ml) syp bnonzeet (2.5ml) for 4 days and omnacortil 5ml, twice daily for 3 days. Now again in 8 days he has this cough... It is raining here in mumbai... Is this because of the season? Is he allergic to something, if yes how will i come to know, any test to determine that? My son was incidentally diagonsed with bicuspid aortic valve with mild Aortic stenosis. But the Pead. Cardiologist after a 2g echo said there was nothing to worry as his heart was functioning normally with minimal obstruction, even his chest was absolutely clear. My son weighs 13 kgs.

My mother has had a terrible cough for over 8 weeks, She is 91 and in a rehab facility after a heart attack in November. She has been on prilosec for years for her acid reflux,Now she is unable to even talk without coughing . Nothing seems to heal the cough, including breathing treatments, cough medicine etc. I believe she may have a cough response to her GERD and no one there thinks it is true since she is on prilosec. I was wondering how to start the conversation with her physician. She is giving up hope to get better, has lost her appetite because of this constant coughing. What kind of doctor should we take her to? By the way her lungs are perfectly clear.
