I have a question about adrenal fatigue/exhaustion. I am 68

I have a question about adrenal fatigue/exhaustion. I am 68 years old and am being treated for diabetes (using Metformin, Glimeeride and Actor), high blood pressure, anxiety/depression/PTSD (using Seroquel, Cymbalta and Paxil,) also levothyroxine (hypothyroid), Nifedipine & Simvastatin. I have been under moderate to severe stress for at least 3 years and am constantly exhausted, have weak muscles (tough to get up off chair), crave salty snacks, have some nausea (gastric bypass 4-1/2 years ago), go thru periods of very low appetite and had my gall bladder removed in December. Not sure if these symptoms are related to adrenal fatigue/exhaustion or if I should ask my PCP about it.

Thinking I have adrenal fatigue. I had a 12-hr saliva adrenal test and levels proved to be low so i was put on a low dose of hydrocortisone (10mg daily) which helped my energy initially - 5 months ago. I am still feeling fatigue which comes and goes, also depression and trouble sleeping, numbness and tingling in hands and arms sometimes. Can t do high intensity work outs or I m tired. In Aug. 14 I had a total hysterectomy because of endometriosis and PCOS. Thinking the adrenal fatigue was caused by that. My question: Should i get a second opinion? Do you think it could be something else?

I am supposed to attend a conference which I will have to fly to on Wed. 2/8 and return Sat. 2/11. I was diagnosed today with sinusitis and bronchitis at the Dr. and went to Dentist on Friday and was told because genetics and the affects of being on multiple meds and having multiple surgeries as the result of an accident 15 years ago, I have several teeth currently infected and was told NONE of them were worth saving - must have all of them pulled and get dentures. My question is this - what are the risks of pushing myself to attend this conference since I am just now beginning to recover from a fight I have had the past 6 months with Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome - Lots of stuff going on with my health right now!

Hi, doctor Grief. I have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue and have been given 10 MG of cortex/day. I am feeling a lot better and I m able to function now. However, I put on a lot of weight and would like to stop taking it. My doctor tells me that I should be taking it for at least 3 months and then she will reduce it to 5mg. I have been taking it for a month and a half now. My question is: Will my adrenal be able to recover without the help of the hydrocortisone?
