I have a prolactinoma. My prolactin, testosterone, and hgh are all in the normal range or better. I have been trying to loss weight with both diet and exercise however after over 6 months have yet to loss any! I'm 40-50lbs overweight. I've had my TSH levels checked but they are always normal. My body temperature is usually below 98.4. I am depressed (because i cant loss weight) and am having trouble sleeping (because I'm depressed). My doctor doesn't acknowledge that I'm trying to loss weight and cant but only wants to focus on the depression and sleep. I tried to explain that those issues started after the failed weight loss but he insists the TSH levels are all that matters. Are they?

i was diagnosed with a prolactinoma 4 years ago. it seems to be back, my symptoms are quite severe. my first blood tests revealed normal prolactin levels. i have since had them repeated along with a full hormone panel. i am waitin for those results. the doctor has recommended i start treatment 5 mg bromocriptine twice a day in the mean time. how dangerous is it and what will happen if the hormones are still normal. what are the other possibilities?

i am occasionally breastfeeding my 14 month old, I have had right side temple/sinus pressure and pain with headaches since december, and I have a prolactin level of 46. Is this indicative of a prolactinoma? my doctor says yes, but I would like a second opinion
