First of all it should be understood that malodor is caused by many reasons like decayed teeth, poor oral hygiene, gastric problems, liver disorder, diabetis, smoking, alcohol consumption, tobacco chewing. Gastric ulcer should be treated by a gastro-enterologist. You should consult a dentist to check for any problem in your oral cavity.
Hi, first and foremost use a good mouthwash and a spray for primary relief from the symptom. go for a complete oral examination. If there is no oral problem, throat, lungs and gastric problems may also lead to bad breath. Please consult your dentist first. He may advise you how to proceed about the treatment plan. Take care!
Bad breath can be due to a number of causes like :-
Local factors like oral hygiene (Improper brushing technique, food lodgment on the tooth surfaces, smoking, etc) or
Systemic factors like Diabetes, Gastric refluxes resulting from dietary components rich in garlic, onions etc.
The first thing is to visit your Dentist and get the cause of your condition diagnosed. Also get a professional cleaning (scaling/Oral Prophylaxis) done. Maintain good oral hygiene by simple procedures of brushing twice a day, rinsing and flossing after every meal. Start using a mouthwash regularly and drink plenty of water thru the day.
When you have ulcers, your stomach is hypersecreting hydrochloric acid. too much of it and it winds up in your mouth by going up the food tract.this can lead to bad breath. the answer lies rather in diet modification than ulcer medication. maybe meet a diet specialist with your problem and suggest a diet that balances your stomach secretions. also try experimenting with eating alkaline food. see if it works

Hi, I have had a really bad cough for four weeks now. It started with long coughing fits in the day and these have reduced but have been added to by coughing fits at night which feel like they go on for ever. Also during these I cannot breathe in which initially caused me to panic but I found I could breathe in if I calmed down but this took some time. Chemist gave me a Ventolin inhaler to open airways during attack which helped a bit. Also I have an almost constant tickling sensation in the back of my throat and at night for the last week my chest has felt tight - ventolin inhaler has helped relieve this. Finally I feel like something is stuck in the right hand side of my throat but cant normally cough it up as cough is generally unproductive, except first thing in the morning when I am able to cough up some clear phlegm but also tend to vomit as well. Occasional dry mouth at night doesnt help. Really getting fed up with this now - went to doctors two weeks ago who thought I had the after effects of a viral chest infection and thought it would all clear up within a week - now two weeks on there is no sign of this. Can you advise? Thanks

I have been experiencing thick, bubbly, sticky saliva for many months now - following about two years of using hydrogen peroxide for a mouthwash. I ve seen two dentists and two oral surgeons; surgeons tested my salivary glands and concluded my saliva was normal. They could not diagnose my problem. Told me the saliva must thicken after it is released from the glands. and in my mouth...Both believed the hydrogen peroxide was not the cause. My only relief is when I m eating or chewing gum (xylotol). Is there any antidote, assuming it was the hydrogen peroxide that brought it on?
i went to the dr. yesterday for sore throat, body aches. was told it was not strep but viral infection. she did notice a pus pocket on the right side of my throat, I was prescribed antibiotics (Z-pack) for 5 days. My dr told me to gargle with salt / warm water. My question is should I try to remove the pus pocket myself with a q-tip, as that is what I have been reading online that several people remove the pus pocket with q-tip.
Hello. 3 days ago, I had a short-lived stomach virus, around 24 hours long, and vomited a total of 21 times, causing me to lose some weight and become dehydrated. Ever since then, I have had this continuing bad taste in my mouth. I tried drinking a lot of water, brushing my teeth and tongue constantly, and using mouth wash, but it doesn't seem to work. Originally, the bad taste originated in the left side of my mouth, along my tongue, and now it has spread to my entire tongue. I thought it may have been oral thrush, but I saw no film or change in my tongue's appearance.
