I Have A Painless Swelling Over My Left Breastbone. Please Help

hi. Im 19 and my left breastbone is swollen. I went to the doc and he said it is just swollen and it will go down. I have had it for a couple of months now and im really paranoid. Their is no pain however i keep poking and prodding it every night so it hurts when i poke it hard. Please help

In a swollen breastbone it needs to be seen that whether the swelling is arising from the bone or is from the soft tissue overlying the bone. It is best to get an X-ray done to rule out any bony pathology and then get it examined from an orthopaedician .
