I have a lump on my leg with thyroid

I am a healthy 73 have been taking food supplements before 1960 and studied my body as had pain in legs from very early age 4 years old on troop train during the 2nd world war. Arthritis Vitamin C and E are very important to me I worked for Shaklee USA in the 80 s. For 7 years I was taking Alfafa and Kelp, my hair colour was coming back and I overdosed Hm! My Doctor was doing a health check on me and diagnosed underactive thyriod I tried to explain about the iodine overdose. He did not understand and took no notice. He put me on 75micrograms. Last July 2010 I noticed a lump on my right leg. I went to tell my Doctor but he laugned at me. I was worried because I was flying out to Denver USA by air from the UK. On return my ankle and lower leg became inflamed. I went back to my Doctor on 16th November 2010 and he told me I had Achilles Tendernitous gave me an appointment for the Physiotherapist which he told me would be in 6 weeks time. Still no news on that front. However. my eyes were beginniong to itch and round about 13th 14th of january I could hardly see. In a magazine there is an article about the Thyriod which mentioned how it works. I decided not to go back to my Doctor as he does not listen to me and does not understand the power of the food supplements. on 16th 17th and 18th January I took 50 micrograms my eyes improved immediately and the pain in my leg and the lump went down. On 19th January I took 25 micrograms no problem but I thought maybe it was to big a drop so on20th went back to 50 grams and was not happy so 21st 22nd 23rdan 24th I have taken 25 micrograms. My eyes are much better after a very powerful itching where I could hardly see. Today when I woke up the lump on my leg is still there. not so big but there. the heat round my neck is back not so much but there. The dryness on my left elbow is back not so much but there. Today I have not taken any What is your advice PLEASE?

I think u must do Thyroid function tests ,perticularly TSH level free T3 , free T4 level...if TSH level is higher side u should increase the dose of Throxin .25 microgram than decreasing it..Your lump may be unrelated to thyroid..u can do USG of local prt or consult surgeon for charachtersttics of lump..if TSH is normal or low ,u can decrease the dose of thyroxine..u can take vitamins also.
