I have a irregular heartbeat. I do not remember the exact name, but I do know it affects the lower heart, creating skipped beats. I do not WANT to rush to the ER, but would like to know what to be aware of, as I am feeling it excessively this evening. On my home blood pressure machine it showed every 3 to 4 beats was a skip. I am also feeling flush in my jaw & ears. I tried to call my Dr to ask about tonights symptoms but no one was answering the phone. I do not want to rush to ER unless I absolutely have to

My girlfriend has these irregular heartbeats every other day, and I m worried. She s a little on the heavy side(chubby in a cute way), and I must admit that she doesn t eat very nutritiously. I took her to the doctor who performed an EKG on her, and found nothing unusual. However, I m still worried about her well-being, and want to know more information regarding this matter.

Some time ago I noticed my heartbeat was not regular, so I went to see a Dr. They took some blood samples for tests on aneamia and thyroid problem but they came back fine. Then I had a test where they put little stickers around my heart and on legs (I can t remember what it was called) for about 1 minute, but during that time my heart behaved normally so my Dr said that my heart was fine and just to keep an eye on it. Now, I am confused. How can it be normal when, especially in the evening and after a shower my heart does that funny thing, it sort of flutters, I feel it in my chest, it sort of beats twice in a row, difficult to explain. Is this really normal? I m only 30, by the way, so don t say it s my age. I am worried. My blood pressure is very good, by the way. My GP says that I am very healthy. Perhaps I should go and see a private Dr?

I am on 25 mg of atenelol for irregular heartbeat and slightly elevated blood pressure. I can t remember if I took it, and am not sure what I should do. When I skip it, my pulse tends to go pretty high and I have shortness of breath and feel like I ve just run a marathon. But right now my reading is115/79 and my pulse is 62. If I skip it, it will be tomorrow evening before I take it. I m afraid going that long will send me into a tail spin if I forgot it. Not sure what to do!
