I Have Tachycardia.Will I Die From This?

So my doctor just called me today and told me that I have Tachycardia( fast- heart ). I have to go see the heart doctor on Friday. I am scared that I could die before then. Do you think that is possible or that I could die from this at all? Does anyone else have this problem? What was your solution to the problem? I just want to thank everyone for their wonderful answers! I went to the doctor on Friday and he gave me a pill to take. I hope that it works! I am also going to start working out more to lose weight too. He said my anxiety attacks might be setting it off since I am so afraid of dying in my sleep. I hope it works! Yall pray for me!

You dont mention your age or the reason you saw the md . Do you notice the increase in your heart rate ? It could be a number of things and no you wont die . It may be a slightly higher heart rate than normal . This can be caused by allergy meds such as sudafed . It could be due to anxiety . But your md would still send you to the heart md to check out your heart they havr to rule every thing out . it could be an alternative electrical pathway in your heart , this conducts the heart beat . If you have an extra one that is telling the heart to beat too fast , this could cause tachycardia . My daughter had this at birth . She out grew it but there is treatment if you dont including medication and other inor procedures . Dont worry if you were going to die your Md would have sent you right to icu .
