I Have 288 Sugar Level In Random Sugar Test. Am I Diabetic ?
Hello, I am 33 year old male and just got my random sugar 288. Is that sure I am diabetic. I am asthmatic too. Does there anything else which might shoot my Sugar. Is that asthmatic medicine.

You are definitely a diabetic and must do everything to bring down your sugar to normal levels.
There is no asthmatic medicine which shoots up blood sugar levels except steroids.

thanks for choosing health care magic.Dear this is definitely high and in most of the case anything like this always considered to be a diabetic report.If you are taking any form of steroids your blood sugar may go up.Go for testing of fasting sugar,postprandial sugar and HBA1C(this gives average sugar for last 3 months) to confirm the diagnosis and take treatment accordingly.

If you are taking oral steroids your sugars will be high.But generally in the treatment of asthma , inhalational steroids are given which dont cause rise in sugar.
This range of sugar is suggestive of Diabetes.Please get a Oral Glucose Tolerance Test done to confirm the diagnosis.You can know the sugar levels and their fluctuations in the past 3 months by the test HbA1c.
