I had unprotected sex on the night of the 14th of October @ 11:30 and took postnior 2 pill at 9:30 the next morning and the other pill 12 hours after. I started bleeding somewhere in between light & heavy 5 days later . Does that mean the pills worked?

Hi Doctor, I am 20. Had unprotected sex on Saturday evening, waited until Monday evening to consume Postinor. Was on the 14th day of my cycle when intercourse happened but waited until the 16th to get the pill. I was wondering, could I be pregnant? Could you please explain about fertile phase and ovulation? And what will happen when sperms are present (because sperms can live up to 5 days, correct?) Appreciated it so much because I am quite anxious as I m currently studying in college. Thank you.

Hi, I am a 31 year old male. I had unprotected drunken sex with a suspected drug user last october 28th 2010. I didnt ejaculate inside her but she did say it was that time of the month for her. I did not observe any blood after sex. For the past few months I have had pretty much every symptom of HIV from flu like symptoms, sore/burning sensations in the muscles in my calfs, very bad night sweats - particulary my head and chest area, swollen lymph nodes in my neck and more recently - last 2 months or so - upper body redness of skin and itchy like hives in different areas on my body. I also have a strange pressure sensation in my ears that sort of comes and goes but is a daily occurance. I have had a HIV test amongst others on a monthly basis and every month this has come back negative which is obviously promising but nevertheless my symptoms are still around. I also have a dull pain in my left lower abdomen that has been present for the last 4-5 months as well and is painful when pressed. Ultrasounds have shown nothing (3 in fact) except one time the doctor said there was a slight inflamation but nothing to worry about and gave me antibiotics and told me to eat more vegetables...he was hinting at irritable bowel syndrome. I am quite worried that after quite a bit of money spent, my location being the Middle East (Bahrain) and after seeing 3 different doctors nobody can seem to figure to figure out what is wrong with me. The nitesweats are very severe and my pillow is absolutly soaked on a nightly basis and wakes me up from being so wet - the itcy hives are always present as is the dull pain in my stomach and I am nearing my wits end trying to figure out what to is now April 5th and I just had my latest HIV test 2 days ago which came back negative. Any advice would be much appreciated.

On the 3rd oh July I had unprotected sex with an American girl in Amsterdam. I traveled also to London and returned home to Copenhagen on the 9th. While in the airport I began to feel sick and by the time I had gotten back to my apartment in Copenhagen I was beginning to really feel quite bad. My nose was constantly draining and I was able to clear my nose of a fair amount of what appeared to be infected material during countless showers during the day, while also sitting in the bathroom soaking in the steam and warm temperatures. It is perhaps worth mentioning that the two nights spent in Copenhagen were characterized by profuse night sweats . On the 11th I went to the Southeastern part of Greece where I felt slightly normal apart from a slight cough and some slight drainage that mostly dried up in the 110 degree whether. However, on returning to Copenhagen my symptoms have come back so much as a general peeling of the skin (the water here in Copenhagen has always been chalky and dries out my hands and feet, and this was quite pronounced probably due to the fact that I spent 4 days in the Aegean with high salt content only to come back chalked up water). But what is alarming to me is that my neck has begun to feel sore and I cannot pinpoint whether this is due to anxiety and the possibility of having contracted a serious sexually transmitted disease , or whether it may in fact be my lymph nodes warning me of something. I have completed a test for gonorrhea and chlamydia and await the test results currently but have been recommended to wait until the 3rd of August until I undertake a blod test for HIV . Your take on the matter?
