Can Alendronate Be Stopped While On Reclast For Osteoporosis?
I had an infusion of Reclast three days ago for the first of yearly treatments for osteoporosis and elevated blood calcium. I have been taking Alendronate 70 mg weekly for several years for osteoporosis. The side affect of indigestion and vomiting has affected me for that time. May I now stop taking Alendronate since I am taking Reclast?

You can continue reclast. If you can not tolerate alendronate you can switch alendronate with reclast.
