Dear young lady,AT 28 IF YOU HAVE HYPERTENSION AND THYROID CHANGES you better get an ultrasound of the ovary done and check for cysts since you are unmarried .Sometimes there may be other changes also and make sure you go to a good radiologist who should take a look at your adrenal also.DO your thyroid levels along with antithyroid antibodies and antiTPO antibodies.Check for anaemia and calcium and vit D3.YOU NEED CORRECTION OF ALL THESE AND DONT YOU WORRY all will revert back since you are young. AFTER THIS GO TO A GYNAEC AND GET A CHEK FOR PERIODS

if we keep apart gynaecologic causes ( u shud have mentioned marital status .age .any other drug or pills if u r taking) ....in that case THYROID can be regarded as obvious cause for irreg mc. Moreover it would be cheering for u to note that hypertension in this case is also reversible with treatment by thyronorm..

Yes..the irregular periods is because of thyroid problem..Once you start the medication it starts couple of months for the things to settle down.. You need to take thyroid tab regularly for your organs to function properly..
