I Got Swollen Face With Dizziness. I Have Thyroid

I am a 52 year old male with an overactive thyroid which I am on medicine for. For the past week I have been extremely dizzy and nausea . Today I woke up with both sides of my face , close to ear down to my chin, swollen. What could this be? I went to the doctor and they said it wasn t an inner ear infection and that it was probably just vertigo .

Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Please, get your thyroid profile repeated as the over dosage of the drugs can cause dizziness. The swelling on the either side of the cheek has to be examined, probably it could be bilateral parotitis. Drink plenty of water and get the above test done. Any more doubts you are welcome.
