My mother and myself have both been told we have H. Pylori. It was discovered in my mother after a routine colonoscopy, she took the antibiotics and had her gallbladder taken out a month ago. Her pain has subsided but she still gets nauseated. I just started my antibiotics today and am going back for a scope on 7/23. My xray showed a few stones in my gallbladder. My daughter has been having the same symptoms and we have had all kinds of tests done, since my diagnosis on yesterday, I called her doctor to ask for her to be tested. My questions is, all of us live in the same apartment for a year where black mold was discovered in our bathroom and my master bedroom, we have since moved out but could the mold be the common link with the three of us and this health issue?
I m a 48 year old female, with history of excellent health, except 3 years ago I started having stomach problems, shortly after my sisters death. I started making my nightly glass of wine into a nightly bottle of wine and I started smoking every night too. Doctors tested me for everything, celiac, diabetes, liver, kidney, gallbladder, etc., and found nothing abnormal. My tests did show I was positive for H. Pylori, so they gave me the script for that. Suggested counseling and stop the self destructive behavior, which I finally did. I felt great up until a few weeks ago where I started experiencing nausea. My stomach feels tight and it feels as if someone is sitting on it, which causes me to have shortness of breath, especially when I lie on my back. I have to lie on my left side to feel comfortable to sleep. I m also feeling more tired than usual. Feeling a little light headed and weak too, at times. I am normally a very active woman who works out everyday, but it s getting harder and harder. Is this a warning sign that I m about to have a heart attack?!
Hi, I just finished my second treatment for H. Pylori. The first one didn t work, and I was put on a second treatment for 10 days. It wasn t until the seventh day where I noticed this tightness in my stomach and sort of in my back area. After I got off the treatment, the back pain went away, but my stomach has this tightness and very minor, faint pain. I noticed my left arm feels a little weird, too. Is this normal after doing treatment? I haven t been retested for H Pylori yet since I have to wait for two weeks after the treatment. Thank you for your time.

My daughter who is now 26 has always had stomach pain, diarrhea, or constipation. It started with what we thought was sever colic when she was just an infant. Took her to doctor after doctor telling them something is wrong with her stomach. Finally, during a trip to the ER with such pain she could barely stand, they diagnosed her with malrotation of the small intestine. Over the past several months she can barely eat, has diarrhea pretty much daily. We are desperate to find a doctor/surgeon that treats this condition in adults. So far, we can t find anyone to help her, and I am so afraid I may lose her. Please help.
